Mes parents se sont fait opérer en début de semaine, tout les deux ensemble. Tout semble s’être bien passé, heureusement. Ils doivent se reposer pendant un mois, toujours ensemble… Même endroit, même maison de repos.
Comme quoi ils sont vraiment inséparables.
Through the Viewfinder of a Kiev 88

It’s a view from my home window, a test to take part of the contest “Through the Viewfinder” from JPEG Magazine (http://www.jpgmag.com/themes/83) but never get a photo large enough to be accepted… Nikon D70 takes pictures by 3000×2000 so in square format it’s only 2000×2000 and JPEG Mag asks for 2200 at least…
Anne Julie doesn’t like this view because I always take the same when I do tests. But hey, that’s part of my life too and the first shot that Niepce has ever made is a view from his window
I also tried to do the same with my Hasselblad 500cm but the focus screen is so bright and clean that the photo looks like it wasn’t made throught a viewfinder…

La Mer vue du ciel. Quelques essais de photos prise depuis un ULM au dessus de chez moi. Pas mal de problème pour gérer les reflets, la luminosité, les écarts de contraste. Mais c’est toujours un plaisir de tout voir du dessus. Merci Beau-Papa !
The sea viewed from the sky. Some attempts to take photographs from a light airplane near my home. Few problems to manage the reflections, luminosity and contrast. But it’s always a pleasure to see everything from above…

J’ai découvert la Photographie en Avignon. Ces vieilles rues étroites me plaisaient énormément, elles avaient un petit goût d’Italie et un caractère énorme même si elles étaient souvent désertes.
J’y ai beaucoup marché, beaucoup appris, avant de partir pour une ville légèrement différente: Paris.
I discover Photography in Avignon. I liked very much her old cramped streets, they looked like Italian streets and they had lots of personality, even if they were often deserted.
I walked a lot in it and learnt a lot, before leaving for a bit different town: Paris.
Lost in the sea

C’est une vieille photo que j’ai faite avec un Kiev 88. Le dos était assez vieux et avait des fuites de lumières, mais pour des photos d’atmosphère je l’aime énormément. J’ai déjà travaillé une photo du même rouleau (dans Portfolio – Waterscape) et certaines personnes n’aiment pas la vague en bas de l’image. Donc voici une version plus sombre sans la vague. Une autre version de la même scène.
This is an old photo I’ve made with a Kiev 88 camera. The back was very old and has light leaks but for moody shots I like it a lot. I’ve already shown one photo of the same roll (check in Portfolio – Waterscape) and some people don’t like the wave on it. So this is a much darker version without the wave. Another view of the same scenery.

Anne-Julie m’a dit que cette photo ressemblait à un rêve. Je suis d’accord. L’arrière-plan ressemble à un décor de cinéma paint et la composition n’est… pas très conventionnelle.
A première vue, j’étais plutôt intéressé par la reflection de l’eau sur la coque du bateau. Le soleil scintille toujours sur l’eau et c’est plutôt difficile d’imprimer ce mouvement sur la pellicule.
Mais en fin de compte, le scintillement est comme un appel. Le bateau voudrait voler.
Et Anne-Julie a raison, c’est comme dans un rêve.

Anne-Julie said that this photo looks like a dream. I agree. The background seems to be a painting for a movie background and the crop is… not really standard.
At first, I was interested by the reflection of the water on the boat. The sun on the water is always glisten but that’s difficult to have that motion on a photo.
But at the end, this reflection is like a call. The boat would like to fly.
And Anne-Julie is right, it’s like a dream.

Field of depth is like on a large camera format, selective on will. Concentrates on nature and it leaves humans in the blurr.
